Engineering and Hydrosystems
Mike George Mike George, EIT, is a Staff Engineer for Engineering and Hydrosystems. He recently
completed his Bachelor of Science degree from the Colorado School of Mines with emphasis
on engineering geology and hydrology. Mike has experience in the areas of geologic and
surficial deposit mapping, natural hazard assessment, preliminary site investigation/
characterization, surface and groundwater hydrology, geomorphology, sedimentology, as well
as rock, soil, and fluid mechanics. While at E & H, Mike has performed ample rock scour
studies including an investigation of the spillway and plunge pool for the Karahnjukar
Hydroelectric Project in Iceland. Mike also has experience doing land surveying, bathymetric
surveying, and vertical jet erosion testing.
