Scott Ikard Scott Ikard is a Staff Engineer at Engineering & Hydrosystems, Inc. He holds a
B.S. degree in geology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, and an M.E.
degree in geological engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO. His
graduate work at the Colorado School of Mines heavily emphasized hydrogeology. Scott
has prior experience in geophysical exploration, water resources supply, water quality
sampling, well drilling and borehole logging, ground water and surface water hydrology,
ground water modeling and numerical analysis, and geographic information systems. Scott
is currently working towards a Ph.D. degree in geophysical engineering at the Colorado
School of Mines. His current research interests include applying methods and theories
of geophysical exploration to develop conceptual, analytical and numerical models of
unsaturated flow and ground water models, watershed instrumentation and real time data
retrieval systems, real time aquifer characterization, inversion algorithms and the
application of geographic information systems to solve engineering problems.
